Archive for Moms Earn Money Working From Home

So you’ve thought about it and you’re certain you want to earn money working from home. If that’s where you are right now you are probably planning out how exactly you’re going to do that. On your to-do list you have all the hardware and software you’re going to need, along with everything needed for a workable ‘office’. But, have you considered the most important part of working from home?

After some years at this I still find the most important aspect of successfully working from home is my mindset, ie. my attitude. Something that we often overlook is the benefit of having outsiders monitor our behavior. Sure you may be a self starter, indeed you better be if you’re planning to work at home, but don’t overlook the incentive of peer acceptance to your attitude.

Let me give you an example. Let’s say you’ve had a terrible night. You got bad news, you didn’t sleep, basically you feel terrible emotionally and physically. If you work outside the home you will go to work and generally find people who will take one look at you and ask what’s up. Now you may or may not get some support from these co-workers, but what you will almost certainly get is the unspoken expectation that you will do your job regardless of the lousy circumstances. The general thinking is that if it was that bad you wouldn’t have come in to work.

Now take that same scenario while you’re working from home. You face the day alone. There will be no one asking what happened or how you are. More importantly, there will be no outside motivation to continue to be productive. There will be no peer pressure to put a smile on your face and put in a good days work, and that’s where you’re internal fortitude will come in to play.

When trying to earn money working from home you absolutely better be clear about the consequences of your attitude, as it will directly effect your bottom line and ultimately your ability to build a profitable business.
